Just a little lesson on seduction... It's not just about those cheeky little undergarment numbers, kids.

14 days of LOVE

(via  pinterest)
Happy first day of February! Valentines day is looming and love themed foods, parties, gifts, and films will consume everybody's lives for the next two weeks. I'll be joining the bandwagon, as today will be the first of my 14 days of love. But fear not all you stags(!) I will not be limiting myself to that sappy sugary shit you work so hard to avoid during this month of love. There is enough love (and misery) for everyone! : ) In fear of rushing into things too fast, I'll just leave you with this lovely poster.... I hope it's not too soon, but I just need you to know that I'm obsessed with you all! ; )

Side note: When I was a lass, I was so sure that Valentines' Day was actually ValentiMe's Day that I would have fought to the death to prove it.

Have a Happy Saturday

Ain't that the truth! And I plan on doing just that tonight while I'm off at the NELA art walk enjoying Chicken Boy Gallery and Cafe de Leche.

Have a fantastic Saturday and check out these things I love from around the web:

A great reminder.
A beautiful nook with desk- perfect for doing crafts!
I would buy this in a heartbeat- it combines my two fav things...
Whoa! Awesome!
I don't like online shopping, but I wish I did so I could buy this & this.

Before I die

With chalkboard paint, stencils, and chalk, public intallation artist Candy Chang created sheer inspiration. She transformed an abandoned home in New Orleans into a canvas where people can share (and discover) their dreams. “It’s about turning a neglected space into a constructive one where we can learn the hopes and aspirations of the people around us.” I would do a lot of things to go and see this wall right now.

P.S.- Here is a photo-strip of the responses after the first day. They're all beautiful, but here are some of my favorites:

Before I die I want to love recklessly...again.

Before I die I want to cure cancer.

Before I die I want to beat the sense into you!

Before I die I want to marry LL <3

Before I die I want to understand.

Before I die I want to be o.k. with NOT understanding.

Before I die I want to see all the homeless people with homes.

Before I die I want to do it with Robert Doweny Jr. (this one is for my sis :] )

Before I die I want to feel like the only girl in the room.

Before I die I want to enjoy everyday in many ways.

WHAT WOULD YOU WRITE??!?

DIY gift idea: Stationary

Image of Cloth Envelope

I LOVE letters. There is absolutely something sweet and endearing about a real handwritten letter! In my books, nothing can top that.... except maybe a handwritten letter in a beautifully crafted fabric envelope!!

Wabi-Sabi

Wabi-Sabi is a Japanese concept that means “a way of living that focuses on finding beauty within the imperfections of life and accepting peacefully the natural cycle of growth and decay.”
I LOVE this Buddhist (from the 3 Marks of Existence) idea of ephemeral and organic beauty. It makes me feel like saying, "This world often sucks, but so what?! I'm going to appreciate this world and everything in it for its imperfect and terrible beauty!!"
Thus, the start of my very first blog.

P.S. Wabi-Sabi is untranslatable from Japanese to English! Here are some other beautiful words that are untranslatable too!! My favorites are Toska, Tartle, Ilunga, Huggelig, Ya'aburnee, and Duende (I'm going to start using them in my every day conversations!)
