Video games
My last weeks have been spent listening to Lana Del Reys new album Born to Die. Over and over and over again. Have you ever noticed how every year (and always during non-summer months) an album always is released that makes you ask yourself, "Why isn't it summer right now!?!?!?" In 2008 it was Shwayze...Well, this year it's Lana del Rey. This music video kills me! All I need are burning hot days and warm breeze nights spent being happy and lazy with people I love.
P.s. Does this video remind anybody else of this scene in Love Actually???

Oh Land
I AM OBSESSED with this new band I discovered called Oh Land. So far, Wolf & I is my favorite song, but White Nights is great too! The White Nights music video is soo bizarre and oulandish I can't help but to love it (and it also reminds me of the TV series Pushing Dasies- another thing I am abnormally obsessed with, but that's a whole different story)! And, helloooo- Nanna Øland Fabricius is the cuuuutest. Biggest girl-crush ever. Enormous.

So is it such a problem if he's old...
So, this may not be your typical Valentines day love song, but I adore this quirky little number by Lianne La Havas about a love affair with an older man. I didn't know anybody could make having a sugar daddy sound so darling....

Beatle lips
(via cup of jo)
I want to hold your haa-aa-aa-aanmd! Which Beatle would you lay a wet one on?? I think Ringo Starr has nice lips. Also, I feel as though he's the forgotten Beatle... which naturally makes me like him more.
Side note: Eleanor Rigby is my favorite Beatles song!

Bouncy ball heaven
Artist Peter Funch is selling limited edition prints from the day 250,000 rubber bouncy balls rushed down the streets of San Francisco for the Sony bravia commercial shoot. I can’t say much about the bravia, but I LOVE LOVE this commercial. The music is so endearing- and it impossibly captures so much emotion without the presence of people. It's magical and sweet. It's wondrous and I can’t get enough.
If you haven't seen it, here's the commercial PLUS behind the scene footage! My favorite part was to see the camera men and crew wearing helmets and safety masks hiding behind makeshift barriers!!

Holy roly, me, oh my, you’re the apple of my eye
About a week ago I posted the music video of "A Million years" by Alexander of Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. We all know that I love Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros and anything that stems from them, but I ADORE this father daughter duo cover of "Home". That tiny little girl conveys more emotions that most people under 65 are capable of. I've always said that kids are grossly underestimated, and this video beautifully confirms it. SING IT GIRL!!!!!

The Crossing
Not only is this the coolest in-action photo snapped of the Beatles seconds before the iconic Abbey Road album cover was taken, but did you know that there is a live web feed of the very same Abbey Rd. crosswalk. If you're a Beatles fan and you haven't yet gotten the chance to make the walk yourself, the next best thing is to watch the hundreds of fans that flock there to take those few glorious steps themselves. It's hysterical and heartwarming to see people leap across with child-like joy. They do it in groups, in costumes, in absolute synchronization.... it makes me giddy with happiness! Try it, you'll love it... I swear- The Crossing - Abbey Road Studios.

Nostalgia
"A Million years" by Alexander (of Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros).
This song makes me feel like summer is here. I like that. And the video shows exactly the sort of world I imagined all those times I read The Little Prince as a little girl. ...and the nostalgia sets in.
